The Arc de Triomphe is literally an emblematic historical monument, one of the most known of Paris with more than a million visitors every year. The Arc de Triomphe is located in the center of the Place de L’étoile, at the highest point of the Champs Elysées. Napoléon was the one who constructed it but the one to usher it was Louis-Philipe, and it’s a symbol of the Empire revolution.
It’s even more than a symbol, it’s the place where all the gatherings of marches happens. A soldier was buried under, and since 1921 the remembering flame was lit every day at 6:30 pm.
